OUR SPECIALITIES

Craft beers

___________________________________

Craft beers, mostly local, on tap and in bottles.

We regularly update our beer selection and offer a wide variety of styles to suit all tastes.

Original cocktails

___________________________________

A must-try, our cocktails have been crafted with the utmost care.

With unusual glassware, vibrant colours or quirky names, you’re bound to find a concoction to suit your tastes and the season.

Mead and medieval wines

___________________________________

To introduce you to this ancient beverage, we offer two ranges of mead:

• One suited to less experienced palates, produced by André Striewski, a beekeeper from Jevenstedt in northern Germany.
• The second to complete the experience and better suited to tasting, with variations across the range, produced in France by Le Rucher de Saint-Desle near Dijon.

Our medieval wines are produced by La Lande des Bois in Brittany. A master of fruit, who takes pleasure in recreating the typical wines of the medieval era.

Feasts

___________________________________

We offer authentic medieval terrines, a variety of artisanal sausages, as well as generous platters to share, made from fresh produce.

We prepare our own vegetarian dishes, sure to satisfy the appetite of everyone at your table.

Random Pick

___________________________________

The principle is simple: every bottle behind the bar is numbered.

You roll a 6-sided dice for spirits, a 12-sided dice for liqueurs and a 20-sided dice for syrups.

Then chance takes its course and you can drink your shot (we’re not responsible for the outcome)!

FAQ

Booking / Lost Property
To make a booking, go to the Booking page.

Have you left something behind?
The team looks after every table and makes sure to keep anything that may have been left behind, so please visit the Contact page.
Is it compulsory to book before coming?
"THE" question we get asked time and time again – and we understand why.

Yes, the bar fills up quickly, but tables become available all the time throughout the evening, so don’t put off your visit.

Our staff do their utmost every time to find you a cosy little spot (where possible), and only our large tables can be booked; all the others are on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a smooth flow of visitors coming and going.
Why are bookings limited to between 5 and 15 people?
Only our large tables can be booked; they seat a minimum of 5 people, and when pushed together, they can accommodate groups of up to 15 people.

If there are more than 15 of you (up to 20), please specify this in the comments section of your booking; we’ll always be able to seat you, but there may be a bit of space between people.
Why visit La Faille?
What really sets our bar apart is its tavern-style theme.
This theme is reflected in many ways, from the plants to the woodwork, through meticulous attention to detail and inspiration drawn from a variety of worlds.

The drinks menu has been crafted with the same attention to detail: you’ll find cocktails whose names and glassware draw on the worlds that inspire us (The Lord of the Rings, Warcraft, Naheulbeuk, Kaamelott, Lovecraft, …), as well as mead (and in our opinion the very best, having tasted just about everything), medieval wine, and craft beer – mostly local – covering every style.

We’ve even invented a dice game for drinking shooters at random, and if you’re not sure where to start, the team will look after you and offer advice.

We also have a well-stocked games library to liven up your evenings with friends.
